The Giclee print (pronounced jhee-clay) is an archival quality fine art reproduction created utilizing a plateless high resolution digital print technology that produces continuous tone images. The prints have an effective resolution of 1800 or more DPI (dots per inch) which is higher than traditional lithographs (offset) and are printed with an 8 color process yielding outstanding detail and color quality. The archival properties of Giclee prints have undergone extensive independent research and, under proper display conditions can actually outlast many original watercolors. Careful calibration, proofing, production and attention to detail in all aspects of the process insure the highest quality limited edition print with the look and feel of the original artwork. Only the top of the line printer, ink and papers are used for my prints. Papers are 100 % cotton Arches or Hahnemuhle fine art papers.
All prints are available with or without archival hinged mats. Matted prints are wrapped in ultra-clear “gallery wrap” for protection. Unmatted prints are in archival ultra-clear envelopes. Mats are bevel-cut with 2 ˝” to 3” (depending on size) borders on sides with slightly more on the bottom edge. Shipping not included in prices listed.
